Area refers to the space measured in square units that any 2 dimensional shape or polygon occupies.

A circle is the set of all points in a plane that are a fixed distance from a given point in the plane.

Two polygons are congruent if their corresponding sides and angles are congruent. Two sides are congruent if they have the same length and angles are congruent if they have the same measure.

The coordinate plane consists of two number lines (called axes) that are perpendicular (at 90 degree angles) to one another. The horizontal axis is called the x-axis and the vertical line is called the y-axis.
